This means that in-chair whitening can produce quick and reliable results. If need be, your dentist will arrange for you to have professional teeth cleaning before you undergo in-chair teeth whitening. Clean teeth will encourage a good, consistent result.
At Hills Dental Group, we use Zoom Teeth Whitening. This effective whitening treatment combines the use of whitening gel and light. This application kick starts and speeds up the whitening process.
In-chair whitening needs a single appointment. It consists of two to four whitening phases, depending on the shade you’d like to achieve. So, you can be walking out with your new sparkly smile in as little as an hour!
Take-Home Whitening Kits
We also provide take-home teeth whitening kits. If you want to whiten your smile in your own space and time, this may be the ideal treatment option for you. Once your dentist has assessed your suitability to teeth whitening, they’ll take impressions of your teeth. These will get sent to the dental lab where your custom whitening trays will get made.
When your whitening trays are ready, you can come and collect them along with everything else you need to begin your teeth whitening journey at home. You will need to apply your whitening trays filled with the whitening gel to your teeth every day. You will need to do this for around two to four weeks for the best results. Your dentist will let you know how long you need to wear your trays for each day, but usually, it is around half an hour.
Professional Teeth Whitening Vs. Store-Bought Whitening Products
Teeth whitening products are available in many pharmacies, supermarkets and online stores. They may provide some form of whitening at less of an expense, but only a dentist can administer professional-grade whitening treatment. The ingredients of store-bought whitening products and professional whitening products may be similar. But, the concentrations are not.
